🙂 well you are not completely wrong. Hogwarts is somewhat a dark academia. The trend is mostly concerned with the aesthetics of higher education, literature, painting, architecture, etc. It has become a full-fledged lifestyle based on whatever you wear, whatever you read and those goes straight on your social media, also not forgetting the tiny hashtag called dark academia, one puts in the caption.

so yes! All in all, its a subculture now. You can understand more of these, when you can individually spot the examples on reddit or Instagram( if you are pretty active there).
